Convening of the Ford Foundation’s Youth & Young Feminists PLUS Fund

September 24, 2024 - Labadi Beach Hotel - Accra, Ghana

GrandHedge International is thrilled to announce the participation of Nadia Owusu, our Director of Partnership, in the recently concluded Convening of the Ford Foundation’s Youth & Young Feminists PLUS Fund. This pivotal event, held from September 25 to 27, 2024, at the Labadi Beach Hotel in Accra, Ghana, brought together an exceptional group of young climate activists and feminists from across Africa.

The PLUS Fund, co-created by the African youth climate movement, aims to support activities that strengthen networks, coalitions, and alliances, empowering diverse youth and young feminist leaders to build collective power across regions and movements. The three-day convening provided a platform for participants to engage in collaborative efforts, address urgent climate challenges, and refine strategies to advance intersectional climate justice.

During the convening, participants engaged in various activities including mapping key stakeholders and coalitions, fostering new networks, and refining strategies aimed at advancing intersectional climate justice. The event was a critical step in ensuring more inclusive, coordinated, and impactful advocacy across movements.
